WESTBOROUGH – Westborough has shared results from Tuesday’s municipal elections, noting low turnout in a year with no contested races.
Just over 650 registered voters cast a ballot, representing 2.78% turnout.
This election saw Select Board members Allen Edinberg and Patrick Welch seeking new terms. They received 280 and 290 votes, respectively.
Stephen Doret ran for re-election to the School Committee. He and his School Committee colleagues will now be joined by Steven Bachelor, who will replace Sara Dullea after she opted to not run for re-election this year.
Jonathan Pelozzi is joining the Planning Board as a new member.
Julia O’Neil Welch will similarly join the Housing Authority as a new members.
Though there were no contested races, candidates did field questions late last month at a candidates forum.
The town clerk’s office was still in the process of finalizing write-in vote totals as of 3 p.m., so final tallies are subject to change.
