Annette B. DavisShrewsbury – Annette B. (Kennedy) Davis passed away peacefully in UMass-Marlborough Hospital on February 21, 2022, with her husband by her side, following a brief illness.

She was born in Port Saunders, Newfoundland, Canada, to Peter and Gertrude Kennedy. Annette moved to Shrewsbury in 1970, following her wedding in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada to her loving husband, William A. “Bill” Davis.

In addition to her husband of nearly 52 years, she leaves behind two sisters, Selina MacLean of Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Clarice Sheperd and her husband Floyd of East Ridge, Tennessee, and a brother-in-law, Stephen Davis on the North Shore. She also leaves nieces and nephews, including Barry MacLean, Joanne Martin, and Lynette Sawchuk, all of Nova Scotia, Bruce MacLean of Alberta, Bradley MacLean of Texas, and Shawn Shepard of Tennessee. She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, Kevin, Leo, and Clifford Kennedy, all of Newfoundland.

For a time, Annette resided in Ontario, Canada, working for St. Catharines General Hospital and the Imaging (X-ray) Center. Following her move to Shrewsbury, she was employed by Memorial Hospital/UMass-Memorial in the Radiology Department for 49 years.

Annette had many interests and activities including travel, dancing, dining out, live music, as well as collecting Santas, snowmen, and teddy bears. She especially looked forward to her frequent FaceTime conversations with her sister in Nova Scotia.

She enjoyed her weekly Canasta Club, nicknamed “TheWildcards”, a group of friends that became extended family.

A 33-year member of St. Mary of the Hills Church in Boylston, Annette served as a Eucharist Minister for more than 20 years, assisting the clergy with weddings, funerals, and weekly masses. She loved her church community.

Annette was a lovely, kind, and caring lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at Chiampa Funeral Home – On the Common – 5 Church Road, Shrewsbury, on Friday, April 8 th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Her funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross Street, Boylston, on Saturday, April 9th at 10:00 am Those attending the mass should go directly to church.
