Jeanne M. StoneNorthborough – Jeanne M. Stone, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 92 years old.

She is survived by three sons, Steven Stone and his wife Anne, Alan Stone and his wife Nanci, Michael Stone and his wife Laurie – all whom reside in Northborough and a daughter, Susan Letham and her husband Richard of Westborough; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Euclid “Uke” L. Stone in 2016 and by their daughter, Linda Dipert in 2003.

Born in Worcester, Jeanne was a daughter to the late Harold E. and Muriel E. (Dickerman) Morrison. She spent her childhood years in Westborough and was a graduate of Westborough High. It was during a dance sponsored by the U.S.O. that Jeanne met her future husband and soulmate, Uke. In 1949 the young couple settled in Northborough. While devoting her time to homemaking and the care of her 5 children, Jeanne also assisted Uke in the daily operation of their growing business – Aluminum City.

Their story was a testament to their shared love, supporting and caring for each other until Uke’s passing. Jeanne would continue to miss him every day. Together, Jeanne and Uke enjoyed short adventures in their Winnebago, caring for their menagerie of pets and meeting friends at J.P.’s Restaurant for dinner and conversation.

Jeanne was a skilled seamstress and loved to crochet and knit. Jeanne’s sharp wit and humor would remain with her to her last day. Her family will fondly remember the clothing she made for their pet monkeys – Willy and Wilma. She will also be remembered for her Parnelli-like driving skills in the Green Machine. She loved to escape to their island on Lake Quinsigamond in her amphicar. She had great fun surprising people as she drove into the lake! While all holidays with Jeanne were wonderful, the memories made at her home while enjoying Thanksgiving dinner and homemade desserts were special.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her graveside service at Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough, on Tuesday, April 5th at 11am. There are no public calling hours planned.

In lieu of flowers, the Stone family respectfully request memorial donations be directed to the Northborough Food Pantry, 37 Pierce Road, Northborough, MA 01532.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough.
