John F. Kelly Jr.North Grafton – John F. “Jack” Kelly, Jr., 75, of North Grafton and formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away after a short illness with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center.

Jack was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn with his siblings. He graduated from Auburn High School and later from Lowell Technological Institute (now known as UMass Lowell) with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.

Jack had a long career in the medical imaging industry, where he worked in various sales and services roles at Picker International and Toshiba Medical, among other companies. After retiring from the corporate world, he worked at Highfields Golf & Country Club, enjoying days working on the golf course in the sunshine.

He enjoyed playing golf with his friends, skiing with his family, and spending time on the beach in Ogunquit, Maine. He was very handy and organized. He was always generous with his family and friends, never hesitating to lend a helping hand. He had an irreverent sense of humor and was also known to enjoy a Manhattan cocktail or dry Martini from time to time.

Jack leaves his two children, Jeffrey F. Kelly and his wife Danielle of Reading, Mass., and Angela E. Kelly and her long-time companion Paul Maddalena of Shrewsbury; three grandchildren Dylan Gordon of Shrewsbury, and Nathaniel and Audrey Kelly of Reading; three siblings, Marguerite Kelly of Florence, Mass., Maureen Conrad of Grafton, and Michael Kelly and his wife Margaret of Sydney, Australia; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John F. Kelly, Sr., and Angela M. (Limoli) Kelly, and by a sister, Kathleen Costello.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Kelly family between 3 – 6 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury, with Words of Remembrance at 6 PM. There will be a memorial dinner following at Leo’s Ristorante, 11 Leo Turo Way, Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
