REGION – It’s estimated that household water leaks account for more than 10,000 gallons of water wasted nationwide each year.

Locally, a team of seven specialists at All Dry Services of Central Massachusetts is available around the clock to address these kinds of water emergencies before they develop into even more severe mold issues.

“We pride ourselves on the quality of our work,” said Garrett Pacy, who is one of the managers at All Dry.

All Dry started in Florida in 2014 and has expanded to over 200 location across the United States. Since expanding into Massachusetts less than a year ago, All Dry has responded to calls from more than 150 patrons with water and/or mold issues.

Pacy described one of the business’ biggest projects thus far, which involved a home infested with mold.

“It was a family moving into a new home and mold was in the crawl space, attic, basement and a shed,” Pacy said. “The mold was overwhelming, and the family was in critical need.”

The team went in, though. They got their work done and left the homeowner feeling pleased.

‘We focus on the customer first’

When it comes to controlling mold, Pacy said it’s all about air flow.

“Mold is everywhere, but temperature and humidity are two big factors that impact the growth of it,” he said. “That’s why people should keep windows open and use dehumidifiers to handle moisture in basements.”

He explained that, while most people don’t go into their attics, lack of ventilation can lead to mold build up in those locations.

Pacy, who has been in the water/mold remediation business for several years, said he and fellow specialists at All Dry stand out from similar companies because they exhibit compassion for the plight of their customers.

“We go into people’s homes and calm them down after disasters,” Pacy said. “We focus on the customer first and not how much money we can make on a project. Our goal is to specialize in human relations and make people happy.”

Specialists boast certifications

Customers appreciate that All Dry specialists are certified.

The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification acknowledges All Dry as one of 6,500 firms in the world with certified expertise to handle building moisture and water damage restoration.

“To be certified in this industry proves that we are a reputable source,” Pacy said. “When people are going through an ordeal such as flooding, water leaks or finding mold, they want to make sure someone can handle it correctly. While some states require certification, Massachusetts doesn’t. However, we want to stay on top of knowing all the latest industry standards.”

Pacy said customers are also pleased that All Dry can handle insurance claims following disasters.

“Once customers file the claims, we take over from there because we know that can be stressful,” Pacy said. “We want to make things easy and as painless as possible.”
