SHREWSBURY – The Shrewsbury boys lacrosse team improved their win-loss record to 3-2 on Saturday with a 9-4 victory over Chicopee.

Facing off in a game at home at Shrewsbury High School, the Colonials quickly secured a decisive lead.

They then took a 6-1 advantage into halftime over the Pacers.

While Shrewsbury’s offense quieted, somewhat, in the second half, the team held on for the win.

This was Shrewsbury’s second consecutive victory after an 11-4 win over Wachusett on Tuesday.

These wins, likewise, follow an up-and-down first week of the spring season that saw the Colonials lose to Algonquin and Nashoba but beat Tantasqua.

The Colonials are now due back in action on Wednesday at home against Westfield.
