HUDSON – Hudson firefighters battled a blaze on River Road in town on Monday, beating back flames in a single-story home.
There were no injuries, according to Hudson Firefighters Local 1713.
Local 1713 shared information on the fire on Monday evening, noting that crews arrived on scene to immediately find “heavy smoke condition” in the home.
Firefighters called for additional manpower and coverage as they managed to quickly locate and extinguish the fire in a living room area.
Hudson Light and Power cut power to the home during this emergency response, Local 1713 said.
The cause and origin of the fire remained under investigation as of Monday evening.
A wiring inspector had also been called to the damaged house.
“Special thanks to the Hudson Light and Power employees for their quick response,” Local 1713 said in its statement.
