Shrewsbury – Theresa F. (Thomas) Haire, 91, of Shrewsbury, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loving family on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Her loving husband of sixty-eight years, Willis Haire, Jr., predeceased her this past September.
Theresa is survived by; two daughters, Kathryn R. Gaudette and her husband Thomas, and Donna M. Wilson and her husband Jeffrey; a brother, Anthony Thomas, all of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Mary Daniels and Eva Dubuque, both in Arizona. He is also survived by four grandchildren, William Gaudette and his wife Kathleen, Gillian Turo and her husband Chris, Cristina Wilson and Maria Wilson; two great grandchildren, William Gaudette, Jr. and Leo Turo; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three siblings, Ann Paquette, John Thomas, and Rita Najarian.
Theresa was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Walter and Rose (Harpie) Thomas; she graduated from the Major Beale High School and has lived here all her life.
Theresa was a dedicated mother and grandmother, but also dedicated much of her time to others in her community. She worked for over twenty years as an aide at the Paton School, she volunteered for the Shrewsbury Senior Center and helped prepare meals for the “Meals on Wheels” program. She was a member of Saint Anne’s Church; she enjoyed her gardens and knitting.
Calling Hours will be on Thursday, May 5, from 10:30 a.m. until her Funeral Service begins at 12 Noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Mausoleum.
