Evelyn M. Flood and Harry A. Flood Jr.Hudson – Harry A Flood Jr., 89, of Titusville, Fla., passed away on January 26, 2018 and Evelyn M. Flood, 93, of Titusville, Fla., passed away on April 25, 2022. The couple were formerly of Hudson.

Evelyn M. (Blanchard) Flood, 93, passed away on April 25, 2022 in Titusville, FL with her loving family by her side.

Evie was a kind, compassionate lady with a vibrant smile. She graduated from Marlboro High in 1947 and met the love of her life Harry A  Flood Jr. that year. They married Oct.12,1950 in Marlborough, MA. and lived in Hudson to raise their family until 1998.

Evelyn was the “go to woman” that would get things done. She was a boys scout leader and CCD teacher in the 60’s, a member of St. Michael Parish, Catholic Daughters of America and the Hudson Emblem Club. Evelyn was voted “Woman of the Year” in 1976.

She worked for Harry doing his bookkeeping for Wood Square Texaco, and later as a salesperson at Gail’s Children’s Corner, executive assistant at Sandvik in Berlin and Perdoni Brothers in Natick. Evie also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, games and playing cards. She was a great cook and was well known for her holiday and birthday parties where no one left hungry. Upon retirement in 1998, they moved to Old Orchard Beach, ME and wintered in Myrtle Beach SC, until they moved permanently to Arcadia, FL. In 2017 they moved to Titusville, FL to be nearer to family.

She leaves behind her sister Ruth M Durand of Hudson, MA and cousin Margie Pond of Berlin MA. She was predeceased by her parents, Sister and brother in law, Mary Lou and John Solari, Brother in law Albert Durand and cousin Maryellen Peloquin.

Harry A. Flood, 89

Harry A. Flood Jr., 89, passed away January 26, 2018 in Titusville, FL, with his loving family by his side.

Harry was the son of Harry A and Hazel G. (Cyr) Flood Sr. whom he worked with and learned the automotive trade. Harry graduated from Hudson High in 1947 and went on to graduate from Stockbridge College in 1949.

He was a member of the US National Guard, the Hudson Elks and Massachusetts Gas Dealers Assoc.

Harry owned and operated the trusted, Wood Square Texaco station in Hudson for 30 years. He was always helping someone out and was known for his big smile, often called “Happy Harry”.

Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing (where there was always a “big” fish story), owned and raced harness horses. He later worked for Continental Limousine until his retirement in 1998.

He was predeceased  by his parents, sister and brother In law Marguerite Flood Bartlett and Everett Bartlett from Berlin MA.

Harry and Evie were loving, supportive parents of David and Sharon Flood of N. Grafton, MA, Daughter in law, Bernie Godshaw Flood of ME and recently NH, Judy Congero of Rockledge, FL and Kathleen (Casey) and Tom Jensen of Blairsville, GA. They were predeceased by their son Paul M. Flood Sr.

Harry and Evie enjoyed hours of fun with their adoring grandchildren, David Jr and his wife Lynn, Michael Flood, Paul Flood Jr., Wendy Therrien Manning, Tiffany Therrien Lewis and her husband Buddy, their cherished great grandchildren, Blake Burnett and his wife Nicole, Chace Manning, Peyton Manning, DC Lewis and Braden Lewis. They also both leave many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Harry and Evie chose to be memorialized and buried together at a private service in the fall.
