Robert E. GauvinSouth Grafton – Robert E. “Bob” Gauvin, 88, passed peacefully with his family by his side Saturday May 7, 2022 after an illness.

Bob leaves his wife of 67 years, Lucille (Arguin), his five sons: Robert and his wife Brenda, Steven and his wife Marilyn, James and his wife Joanne, Thomas and his wife Judy and John and his wife Linda. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Eugene Gauvin, mother Jeanette Gauvin, brother Kenneth Gauvin, sister Betty Gauvin and aunt Ida Ludwig.

Throughout the years Bob held many titles including business owner, Planning Board member, Scoutmaster, monkey wrangler, farmer, and Naval Yeoman (Reserves). But the role he relished most was family man. His greatest joy was spending time cracking jokes, telling stories, square dancing with his wife and camping with family and friends.

Bob was the owner of Gauvin Supply Company which was a household name in the town of Grafton and was recognized across New England and beyond for their superior work and service. He also worked for Granger Contracting and EJ Cross.

All are welcome to gather with Bob’s family and friends Wednesday May 11th from 4pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday May 12th at 11:00am at St. James Church 89 Main St. South Grafton, MA 01560. Burial will follow at St. Phillip’s Cemetery in Grafton.
