Jeffrey ChavesNorthborough – Jeffrey Chaves, 33, of Northborough, MA formerly of Hudson, MA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. He leaves his loving wife of 10 years, Tracy M. (Maia) Chaves and their 3 children, Marco, Marianna and Audrianna.

Jeffrey was born in Framingham, MA and raised in Hudson. He attended local schools and was a 2006 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Vocational H.S. in Marlborough, MA. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2006 and served as a Veteran of “Operation Iraqi Freedom” and also “Operation Enduring Freedom” until being honorably discharged in 2012. He worked as a carpenter with local Union # 328 and spent most of his time assigned to S & F Concrete in Hudson. Prior to the Union he was employed at the Natick Bernardi Honda in the service department as a mechanic. He was a member of the Hudson Eagles, Hudson V.F.W. and a member of St. Michael’s Parish in Hudson.

Besides his wife and children, Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Jose and Isabel (Sousa) Chaves of Hudson, MA; his brother, Danny Chaves of Hudson, MA; his two sisters, Jennifer Babcock and her husband Nick of Leominster, MA, Amy Bleasdell and her husband Shaun of Worcester, MA. He also leaves his niece, Makenna Babcock; his nephew Jonah Babcock; his father and mother-in-law, Pablo and Arleuza Maia of Framingham, MA along with other relatives, friends and his loyal dog Rocky. Jeffrey is predeceased by his grandparents, Antonio & Deolinda Chaves and Jose & Maria N Sousa of Hudson, MA.

Jeffrey had many hobbies and interests but his family was his passion. Sundays were a special day dedicated to family gatherings and Boston sports. He had a love for the sea. His favorite place was the Canal in Bourne, MA where he spent time fishing with his cousins. Jeffrey enjoyed cooking for his family. Many could view his culinary talents from his social media posts. He has touched numerous people in many different ways and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A service and celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Cox Street, Hudson.
