Sutton – Ralph Peter Guertin, 81 of Sutton and formerly of Marlborough died on Sunday, May 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Framingham, MA, the son of the late Emery and Della (Walsh) Guertin.
Ralph was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Anne M. (Wholey) Guertin.
Ralph graduated from Framingham High School, Class of 1959, and earned a BA in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He owned and operated Inter-City Electric Supply in Framingham, MA for over 30 years, retiring in 1992.
In his retirement, Ralph enjoyed golfing at Marlborough Country Club, where he also served as President from 1997 – 2000.
Ralph is survived by his children, Bernadette Carlson and her husband Gary of Marlborough, Peter Guertin and his wife Crystal of TN, and Julie Ciolino of Sutton; seven grandchildren, Bernie, Hanna, Gavin, Elyse, Joey, Nico and Anna, and three sisters in law, Jackie Cahill and her husband Joe of Raynham, Margie DeSantis and her husband Joe of MN, and Trish Wholey and her husband Alfredo Barkey of RI; a brother in law, Bill Wholey of NH, several nieces and nephews, and all his friends and golfing buddies at Marlborough Country Club.
He was predeceased by his brother, Emery J. Guertin.
Ralph loved his grandchildren, golf, and dancing the Jitterbug with his wife Anne.
Calling hours will be held at the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St, Marlborough, MA on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 9-11, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
