Patricia M. BurtonMilford/Northborough – Patricia M. Burton, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the Milford Regional Medical Center on Sunday, June 12, 2022; she was 79 years old. Born and raised in Brockton, Mass, Patricia was the oldest of five children to the late Victor and Amelia (Ferrara) DesLauriers. She was a 1961 graduate of Brockton H.S. and studied at the Buffolo Bible Institute. After their marriage Pat and Dick lived for a short time in Brockton, Maynard and Hudson before settling in Northborough to raise their family. After Dick’s passing Pat relocated to her current home in Milford to be closer to family.

She also leaves six grandchildren: Thomas Melanson and his partner Sarah, Corrine Orlando, Devon Burton Sanderson, Amelia Burton, Tyler and D’Artagnan George; and four great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Michael, Peyton and Preston; two brothers Carlton and James DesLauriers and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her son Christopher Burton and brothers Gary and Kevin DesLauriers. Pat’s happy demeanor and loving heart will continue to live on in her family’s memories.

Together, Pat and Dick enjoyed spending time at the ocean. A favorite place was Nantasket Beach in Hull. Family life was important to Pat. She enjoyed cooking for her family and hosting family events. Always one to share her love, Pat, along with Dick, volunteered as foster parents for 11 babies over the course of 10 years. Patricia was devoted to her faith. She was a longtime active member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School and was a Vacation Bible School leader. She enjoyed sharing her arts & crafts skills with children. Shopping and bargain hunting were favorite pastimes for Pat; she indeed had a ravenous acquisition for all things.
