HUDSON – Recent Hudson High School graduate Brooke LaVache last month received a college scholarship from Teamsters Local 25 at the organization’s scholarship ceremony.
LaVache, who will attend the University of New Hampshire, was one of 30 graduating seniors to receive a total of $60,000 in scholarships from Local 25.
Each year, Local 25 gives scholarships to the children or grandchildren of members, and LaVache’s father, Kenneth LaVache, is a Local 25 member who works for Aggregate Industries.
“We are proud to award these scholarships as a way to inspire youth to become our next leaders,” said Local 25 President Thomas Mari in a press release. “It’s important that we invest in the education of the next generation.”
“These students have worked hard to maximize their high school education, and we are proud to help launch their postsecondary education,” he continued.
