WESTBOROUGH – A pair of crashes on I-495 and I-90 in Westborough prompted backups on Saturday afternoon, with injuries reported in at least one of the crashes, according to the Westborough Fire Department.
The fire department shared news of the first incident around 6:30 p.m., reporting a crash just north of Route 9 along I-495.
A photo showed a vehicle in grass on the side of the road as tow truck crews worked to remove it.
Fire department personnel were on scene as of 6:30 p.m.
A second alert then came moments after that first response, with crews reportedly on scene on I-90 near the I-90/I-495 interchange.
There were injuries as a result of that crash, according to the fire department.
“Expect delays,” the department warned.
Emergency crews did not provide additional information on the extent of injuries or the cause of these crashes on Saturday.
