REGION – UniBank, the largest Mutual Community Bank headquartered in Central Massachusetts, recently announced that they held their Annual Meeting in the historic Northbridge Town Hall.

The meeting was part of the bank’s pandemic-delayed 150th anniversary celebrations, now dubbed the 150+2 anniversary.

A community staple, UniBank is headquartered in Whitinsville within the town of Northbridge.

Bank leaders, in turn, celebrated Northbridge officials last month.

“We like to think that while the leaders of Northbridge were laying the groundwork for the towns’ growth in this hallowed hall,” UniBank CEO Michael Welch said in a press release. “We took the baton 152 years later and pledged to commit to the same core values of growth and prosperity for the community established in 1870 for the next 152 years and beyond.”

In addition to its headquarters location, UniBank has branches in communities throughout the region, including Grafton and Shrewsbury.
