Westborough town iconWESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Economic Development Committee is using a $25,000 grant, provided by the 495/MetroWest Partnership, to create an online directory of town businesses.

“The aim is to create a tool that will help Westborough’s many residents and visitors that want to shop local,” the committee noted in a recent press release.

When complete, users will be able to search the directory for businesses using either keywords, distance, sector or status as minority, women or veteran owned.

The committee additionally plans to integrate the directory with other local marketing resources like wayfinding signage and various brochures.

The directory was recommended as part of the town’s Local Rapid Recovery Plan following the impact of COVID-19 on the business community.

Westborough businesses are now invited to register with the directory by filling out an online survey.
