Jamie J. DunbarMarlborough – Jamie Jonathan Dunbar, 46 passed away at home in Marlboro while in his sleep.

Jamie leaves behind his parents John and Janet (Nims) Dunbar, and his loving sister Genessa Dunbar and her son Liam Bennett. He was the proud father of Max Dunbar, Quinn Dunbar, Maeve Dunbar, and Seamus Dunbar of Holden, MA. He will be missed by his Doberman Roxcie who looked forward to her daily walks with him.

Jamie graduated from Marlboro High School where he lettered in soccer and excelled in socializing. He loved music and especially the Grateful Dead and Dropkick Murphys. He was an avid downhill skier and travelled throughout New England as well as Colorado and Utah.

He worked for Assabet Construction Co. where he enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow workers.

One of his favorite pastimes was watching the wildlife in his backyard where he observed deer, coyotes, owls, and recently a moose. His happy place was at Treasure Island on Lake Winnipesaukee at his family’s cottage where he enjoyed relaxing and boating.

Jamie loved to befriend people with his big heart and help them even as he battled his addiction with alcohol.

Memorial Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 5-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 5 at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Pleasant St., Marlborough.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to ARC, 33 Main Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
