Northborough – Tracy A. Schlegel, 61, a longtime resident of Northborough and recently of Sterling, passed away at home on August 3, 2022 after a period of declining health.
She was born in Worcester and raised in Northborough, a daughter to Peter and Joan (Berry) Germano. She attended Northborough Public Schools and Algonquin Regional H.S.
For numerous years she worked as a CNA within local assisted living facilities, but for most of her adult life, she followed her passion of showing and caring for horses. She was a lover of all animals, and was known to nurse a sick mouse, and often had a wide range of pets.
She lived for a short period of time in Washington State and in Tennessee, and in both places, loved showing horses and caring for animals. A strong believer in our savior, Jesus Christ, her family is confident she is at peace in his loving embrace, but may also be galloping through the clouds on her favorite Morgan horse.
A more magnetic and welcoming person, the world hasn’t known. Tracy is survived by her three children, Erika Schlegel of Leominster, MA, Jared Schlegel and Destiny Schlegel – both of whom reside in Charlotte, NC. Tracy also leaves her mother, Joan Germano and two sisters, Nancy Chisholm and Tina Barrett and her husband Michael – all whom reside in Northborough.
