MARLBOROUGH – Residents will now be able to recycle their mattresses and box springs.

Residents will be able to receive two free disposals of a mattress or box spring per calendar year.

Residents can call the Department of Public Works (DPW) to schedule a curbside pickup.

Pickups will occur on Wednesdays, though the day may change based on factors like weather. Residents who sign up for a pickup will be notified of the change.

However, if a resident exceeds their two free disposals, they can drop off a check to the DPW before the next scheduled pickup for $25 for each mattress or box spring.

The mattress or box spring should be placed on the curbside no sooner than the night before the pickup.

For more information or to schedule a pickup, call the DPW at 508-624-6910.
