Hudson – Beverly A (Lenard) Stearns, 78, of Hudson, MA, formerly of Berlin, Ma and Marlboro, MA passed peacefully on July 19th, 2022 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Robert D. Stearns, who passed in 2010.
Beverly was born and raised in Marlboro, daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Bezokas) Lenard. She was a 1961 graduate of Marlboro High School. Because of her friendly nature, sense of humor and sparkling personality, she was nicknamed “Miss America” by her classmates.
Beverly worked for many years as an office administrator in the biotech and healthcare fields. She was a supremely organized gal and a stickler for detail when it came to her work. Beverly’s favorite hobby was traveling and seeing the world. She particularly enjoyed her many visits to Las Vegas where she relished challenging the slot machines. In her spare time, she also enjoyed shopping , searching for bargains, and spending time with her beloved rescued basset hound Phoebe.
Beverly leaves her only daughter Loreen A Burton and her husband Mark along with their daughter Amelia Burton. She is survived by other relatives and close friends who will miss her dearly and keep her close in their hearts.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 at 1:00 pm in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlboro, Ma. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
