WESTBOROUGH – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Westborough Police Department is collaborating with the Ellie Fund again.

Ellie Fund, based in Needham, provides essential support services for breast cancer patients to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing the focus to be on family, recovery and healing.

Among their services, Ellie Fund provides transportation to medical appointments, light housekeeping, nutritional and grocery assistance, childcare reimbursement, nutritious prepared/delivered meals and integrative therapy services free of charge.

Located in the Westborough Police Department’s lobby are two baskets available to win.

The department is encouraging residents to consider donating any amount directly to Ellie Fund and submit an entry ticket. Donations must be sent directly to Ellie Fund through the QR code posted in the lobby or via its website/Facebook page.

The winners will be announced on Nov. 1.

The department also has pink patches and pink coins for sale, though supplies are limited.

Patches are $10 each and coins are $15 each, or people can purchase a coin and patch for $20.

To purchase a coin or patch, email [email protected]. No cash or checks will be accepted.
