HUDSON –  L.L.Bean is opening at Hudson’s Highland Commons on Friday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.

“As our company celebrates 110 years in business, we are honored to mark that milestone by opening a new retail store in Hudson, Massachusetts,” said Corey Bouyea, L.L.Bean vice president of stores and retail operations. “We’re grateful to our Massachusetts customers who have been pivotal to our continued growth, and we look forward to outfitting them for outdoor adventures for many years to come.”

The shop is approximately 15,000 square feet. It is the ninth L.L.Bean store in the state and plans to employ 50 people. L.L.Bean will also make a $10,000 contribution to the Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest.

On opening day, employees will host the “Immersive Red Sox Experience,” from 6 to 8 p.m.

The experience will include a display of the World Series trophy and an appearance from Wally the Green Monster, according to a press release from the store.

In addition, Red Sox players will be signing baseballs, including Rico Petrocelli from 6 to 7 p.m. and Bob Stanley from 7 to 8 p.m.

Throughout the weekend, shoppers will be able to take photos with the L.L.Bean bootmobile and enjoy giveaways, refreshments and in-store experiences. For example, the first 200 customers to enter the store on Nov. 4 will receive a gift card valued up to $500 and the first 200 guests to enter the store on Nov. 5 will receive a scratch ticket.

The L.L. Bean will join Cabela’s, T.J. Maxx, Market Basket and other retail stores in the shopping center.

Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
