MARLBOROUGH – After a two-year hiatus due to pandemic restrictions, costumed kids and their grownups returned to The Campus at Marlborough’s parking lot on Oct. 23 for the third Trunk or Treat.

Launched in 2018, this fundraiser is organized by the Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club (MJWC) with support from Greatland Realty Partners and Newmark. Organizing this event was suggested a few years ago by current MJWC President Justine Craven-Goetz.

“We’re so excited to come back for our third year,” she said of Trunk or Treat’s return.

Nonprofits and businesses along with Marlborough’s police and fire departments filled vehicle trunks with goodies to give children for their trick-or-treat bags.

A deejay played music while activities took place around the lot including face painting, a photo tent and several fall-themed games with prizes. Pumpkins were distributed free of charge as well as complimentary popcorn and hot chocolate.

Event sponsors and vendor fees covered costs, and raised funds for the MJWC’s ongoing charitable endeavors.
