Marlborough – Richard “Dick” N. Pearson 94, of Marlborough died unexpectedly on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Framingham Union Hospital.

Dick was born in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of the late Neil and Gladys (Barnett) Pearson.

He married his wife Danella (Hewitt) Pearson in his last year of Law School and moved to Concord, NH where he practiced Law for 6 years. Eventually he became a Law Professor and lived in Dover, MA for several years and then in Gainesville Fl before retiring to New London, NH in 1996. They moved to Marlborough, MA in February 2017.

Dick served in the U.S. Army as a Cpl. during the Korean War from 1950-1952.

He enjoyed travelling with his wife throughout the United States and all over the world including China, Japan, Russia, South and Central America, Africa, and most of the countries in Europe. Dick also enjoyed playing tennis, fishing, poker, and was an avid reader.

He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Danella in 2019.

Dick is survived by his son, Thomas Pearson, and his wife Jean of Bellingham, 3 grandchildren, Kayla Pearson, Jenna Feuling and her husband Mike, and Kristen Giordano, 2 great grandchildren, Hailey Rose and Harper Jayde.

He was also predeceased by his daughter, Anne.

Following cremation, Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

Burial will be private.
