Chrisann TaylorShrewsbury – Chrisann (McLaughlin) Taylor, 66, of Shrewsbury, passed away on December 16, 2022, with her three daughters by her side, after struggling for many years with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder).

Chrisann’s body is finally at peace, and her soul is free. She is joyously reunited with her parents, William J. McLaughlin and Shirley P. McLaughlin, as well as her beloved friends and family.

One of Chrisann’s greatest accomplishments, and the one of which she was most proud, was her family. Chrisann devoted her life to her family. Mother to Jennifer Gavaletz, Jillian Jagling and Brittnie Felch, Mother-in-Law to Douglas Gavaletz, TJ Jagling and Jef Felch, and Grandmother to Taylor and Devin Gavaletz, Avery and Tommy Jagling, and Jameson and Callan Felch. She gave her love unconditionally and they filled her life with joy and happiness. Her family was always close by, and she was fortunate to spend a great deal of time with all of them, something for which she was very grateful. Chrisann was also a loyal, trusted friend to many, known to lend an empathetic ear, along with humor and a million-dollar smile. Another one of Chrisann’s accomplishments that gave her great pride, was her 27 years of sobriety and commitment to AA.

In addition to her children, Chrisann is survived by her brother Ward McLaughlin and his wife Carolynn; her sister Shelley Majewski and her husband Chet; her stepmother Helen P. McLaughlin; and many cherished nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Calling hours are on Thursday, December 22 from 5-6:30 p.m., immediately followed by an intimate prayer service at Britton Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, MA.

Chrisann’s family intends to host a celebration of her life in 2023, where friends and family can gather to share memories and laughs in her honor.
