MARLBOROUGH – The city is now accepting applications for the Hometown Heroes banner program.

The banners highlight the service of the city’s veterans; the banners are attached to poles along the city’s main thoroughfares.

Only veterans who live or have lived in Marlborough are eligible.

Applications are available at the Department of Public Works, City Hall and the senior center, but can also be downloaded via https://www.marlborough-ma.gov/home/news/hometown-hero-banners-0

Completed applications and photographs must be dropped off at the DPW dispatch office at 135 Neil St. by Friday, April 14, to be eligible for this year.

This year’s application list will be capped at 90. Applications not making this year’s list will automatically be put on next year’s list.

For information, call the DPW dispatch office at 508-624-6910.
