WESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Athletic and Social Association’s second annual “Ice Out” challenge has come to a halt.

According to a message posted on Facebook by WASA, the ice sculpture, which was in front of Hastings Elementary School, was vandalized sometime on Sunday, Feb. 5.

WASA has filed a report with the Westborough Police Department.

Because of the vandalism, the challenge has been discontinued.

“Further information regarding refunds will be available soon,” according to the post. “We appreciate the support from all of those who participated in this year’s Ice Out challenge.”
