“Do not lose hope, nor be sad.” Quran 3:139

“And we surely test you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.” Quran 2:155

Shrewsbury – While the Quran teaches us not to lose hope or be sad, we can’t help but feel heartbroken at the sudden loss of a dear husband, father and friend. Mohamed Moselhy, age 62 of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday January 30th 2023. Beloved husband to Gwen (Johnson), proud father to Noah and Zayn, sibling to Titi, Saleh, Adil, Zaynab, Hussein, Emad, Ahmad and Fatma, son of the late Abdullah Moselhy and Anisa Ragab, uncle to many nieces and nephews, son in law to John and Kathleen Johnson and brother in law to Nathan Johnson.

Mohamed enjoyed life to the fullest, getting the most joy from spending time with his family and friends and by living a life of faith. The light of his world were his two sons whom he has instilled a strong work ethic and faith and who will continue to make him proud as they live their lives in his light and love.

A devoted Muslim, Mohamed gave back to his mosque in unselfish ways that are only now being discovered in his passing. Many remember the kind gestures and donations he made; never seeking praise or accolades, only respecting the act of doing what is right.

The family will receive visitors from 11-1pm followed by the funeral prayer at 1pm at the Worcester Islamic Center, 248 Mountain St E, Worcester on Wednesday, February 1st at 1pm.
