Hudson – Jeremiah F. McCarthy, 56, formerly of Hudson, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 22 at his residence.
Born on October 7, 1966, Jerry was the son of the late William McCarthy Sr., who passed in 1989, and the late Mildred (Mauro) Crue, who passed in 2012. Jerry was a 1984 graduate of Hudson High School, and a lifelong carpenter.
Jerry is survived by his three sons, Jeremiah Fearing of Paisley, Florida, Shawn McCarthy, and Brandon Grierson of Maynard, MA, his step-father, James Crue of Hudson, his brother William McCarthy Jr. of Hudson, his sister Nanette Russello of Greenfield, Jason Crue of Worcester, Matt Crue of Worcester, and Caryn Happy of Sterling. Jerry is preceded in death by his brother David A. McCarthy, who passed in 2009, and Tracey Grierson, who passed in 2012.
He was a long-standing member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE 643). He enjoyed spending time with friends, cooking, fishing, and fireworks.
A Celebration of Life event will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 271 Cox St. Hudson, MA, 01749 from 1PM to 5PM on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
