Edward S. Rublesky, 75, of MarlboroughHighland, Plantation, ME – Edward Stephen Rublesky 75 of Highland, Plantation ME and formerly of Marlborough, MA. died on Friday, February 10, 2023, in Augusta, ME, VA Togus Medical Center after battling cancer.

Ed was born in Cambridge, MA the son of the late, Vito A. and Helen (Maskevich) Rublesky and was the brother of his beloved late sister Paulette M. Rublesky.

After graduating from Marlborough Vocational School in 1966, Ed served in the U.S. Navy SeaBees as a Construction Mechanic Petty Officer 2nd Class and was a Decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War serving (2 Tours with MCB7 ) from 1967 – 1970. He worked for the City of Marlborough, DPW for 28 years from 1975 and retiring in 2003 to Highland Plantation Maine.

Ed will not be forgotten and always represented by his longtime friend Jeff M. Ellegood of Stoneham, Ma. along with his many Loyal friends from Massachusetts as well as his beloved Harvell Bishop VFW Post 7865 Madison, Maine, where he was a Lifetime member serving many dedicated years on the executive board.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 12:00 in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St. Marlborough. Calling hours will be held prior from 10 to 11:30 in Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

In lieu of flowers Ed requested all contributions in his name be kindly made to VFW Post 7865.
