Northborough – Donald M. Weld Jr. passed away in his Northborough home on February 21, 2023, after a brief decline in health; he was 55 years old.
Donny, as he was affectionately known to all, was a kind soul who was always there to lend a helping hand, ear to listen and shoulder to cry on.
He graduated from Keefe Regional Technical High School in 1985 with awards in metalworking and mechanics. He went on to serve the public for many years as a member of the Ashland Police Department and was a skilled mechanic for more than 40 years.
He loved deep sea fishing, photography, snowmobiling, NASCAR and much more. He was an incredible guitarist and passed his passion for music on to his children.
Above all else, he loved his three children. He is survived by his two daughters, Kayla Weld of Charlton and Alicia Weld of Leominster and his son, Marcanthony Weld of Auburn. In addition to his children, he is survived by his father, Donald M. Weld Sr. of Marlborough and two brothers, Randy Weld of Bradenton, Florida and Sean Weld of Marlborough. Donny is predeceased by his mother, Theresa (Oullette) Weld and his sister, Katie Weld.
Following Donny’s wishes, all services will be private, for his family. Arrangements are under the care of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough.
