Northborough – On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Mary V. Blomstrom passed away peacefully in her beloved home of 55 years. Mary’s family celebrated her 94th birthday the day before, on March 6th.
Born in Revere and raised in Chelsea, Mary was one of five children to first-generation immigrants from Italy, Antonio and Macolata (Cimirro) Cappuccio. She was the beloved wife of 44 years to Kenneth R. Blomstrom until separated by his own death in 2011.
Throughout much of her career, Mary was employed as an office coordinator at Corrugated Paper of Westborough. After her formal retirement, Mary continued to perform office duties for several smaller companies. Mary most especially enjoyed her time and friendships formed at Northborough Dental. Prior to Ken’s passing, the couple enjoyed traveling together. Mary enjoyed entertaining at her home during the holidays and relaxing with a good murder mystery book.
Surviving Mary is her son, Paul Renaud and his wife Patty of Wellfleet; her daughter Denise Renaud of Northborough; three grandchildren Matthew Hamilton of Summerville, SC, Jackson Renaud of Los Angeles, CA, Julia Renaud of Tempe, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Samuel Hamilton; a stepdaughter Diane Salmonsen and her daughter Chelsea; a niece and nephews.
Mary’s funeral will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 14, in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. A calling hour between 10-11 AM will precede the funeral. Interment will take place in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.
