Daniel J. ManteuffelShrewsbury – On March 9, 2023, Daniel J. Manteuffel passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves the love of his life, his wife, Judith Blinn Manteuffel of Shrewsbury, MA; his sister Linda Manteuffel Holloman and her husband Colonel (US Army Retired) Tom Holloman of Macon, GA; and his brother Warner Moore Coward of Las Vegas, NV.

Daniel had several passions throughout his life, the two greatest being his family and his country. Daniel leaves as his legacy his devoted family, including his sons, Daniel Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Rochester, NH; Derek and his wife, Amanda, of Hudson, MA; and Jared of Worcester, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren, Justin of Rochester, NH; Ashley Boucher and her husband, Robert, of Lebanon, ME; Clara and Daniel of Hudson, MA; and great-grandchildren Robert Jr. and Paisley of Lebanon, ME.

At the age of 15, Daniel joined the Civil Air Patrol in Mobile, AL. When he was 17, he joined the United States Air Force during the Cold War Era as an Airman 2nd Class (A2C) Ground Crew Chief in the 100th Bomb Wing on a B-47 Stratojet at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, NH.

After serving his country, Daniel began his career in the automotive industry with Volkswagen of America, serving as Service Technician/Advisor, Service Manager, and Sales Manager. In 1995, he started his own very successful auto dealership with his wife, Judy, in Salisbury, MA.

Daniel was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying sailing, skiing, hiking, biking, running, and scuba diving. His greatest love throughout his life was his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. In later years, Dan and Judy often cared for their two youngest grandchildren, Clara and Daniel. With them, he enjoyed going on adventures and outings together to playgrounds, storywalks, and botanical gardens. Dan will be sorely missed, forever remembered and loved by all who knew him.
