Hudson – Laureen M. Collins, 59, died March 19, 2023 at her residence surrounded by those who loved her.
Laureen is survived by her son Joshua C. McCarthy of Hudson, MA; her brothers, Eddie Collins and Billy Collins, both of Houlton, ME, Sean Collins of Hooksett, NH; her sister, Terry Espie of Hudson, MA and her significant other James Crue of Hudson, MA. She also leaves her niece Bethany Espie of Hudson, MA; her nephews Joe Espie of Hudson, MA, Chuck Espie of Sudbury, MA, Jake Collins of California; sister-in-law Sandy Collins of Hooksett, NH; brother-in-law Charlie Espie of Hudson, MA along with many cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her nephew, Kyle Collins.
Laureen was born and raised in Marlborough, MA, daughter of the late William P. and Rosalie A. (Butler) Collins. She attended local schools and was a 1981 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. She worked in several area retail shops but mostly she enjoyed caring for her home. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Marlborough, MA and the Hudson Eagle’s in Hudson, MA.
Laureen had many hobbies and interests but she truly enjoyed being with family and friends. She loved to talk, especially on the phone. Her daily calls to family members to chat about their day was always welcomed. She will be remembered for her unique ways of always caring for others and the love she shared with so many different animals.
A graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Laureen’s life on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 1 -5PM at the Hudson Eagle’s Reception Hall, 271 Cox Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
