Paul L. DavisHudson – Paul L. (Brudge) Davis, 88, of Hudson, MA, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Paul leaves his wife of 68 years Jean (Terrasi) of Hudson, MA; his three sons and daughter, Paul J. Davis, and his partner Meridith Johnson of Shrewsbury, MA; Sharon Albertini and her husband Anthony of Hudson, MA; Richard Davis, and his partner Charlie Davis of Cary, NC; Kevin Davis and his wife Lauren of Andover, MA; his brother Jerry Davis and sister Jean Peltier, both of Hudson, MA. He was predeceased by his brother Phillip Davis and sister Joan O’Brien. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Steven Albertini, Leah Ellis, Andria Albertini, Owen Davis and Andrew Davis. He was predeceased by his grandson Tyler Davis. He also leaves 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Paul was born in Hudson, MA, son of the late George and Alice (Clark) Davis. He resided in Hudson with Jean for most of his life before retiring to Cape Canaveral, FL for 20 years. He also spent many summers at their vacation home in York Beach, Maine. He and his brother Jerry owned and operated Davis Brothers Paving Inc. in Hudson, MA for 40 years and for many years also operated Paul & Jerry’s Restaurant in Hudson, MA. Later in his career he, along with Jerry, owned and operated Rivers Edge Driving Range located on Brigham Street in Hudson.

In Paul’s younger years, he and Jean enjoyed motorcycle adventures with friends from Hudson.  Paul and Jean spent many years traveling with friends including memorable trips to Hawaii, Aruba and Puerto Rico. He was a proud lifelong member of the Hudson B.P.O.E. 959 Lodge of Elks. Paul loved fishing and golfing in his spare time and was an avid Boston sports fan, especially of the Red Sox and Patriots.  He could often be found watching a western in between naps in his recliner. He always looked forward to gathering with family and friends and cherished all the moments he spent with Jean, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His unique sense of humor is a memory that will live on in all those who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 12:00PM. Family and friends may attend a period of visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM prior to the service. Procession will follow to Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA for committal services.
