Vincent J. Angelico Jr.Shrewsbury – Vincent J. “Jim” Angelico, Jr., passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Margaret (Petrone) Angelico, two sons: Robert J. Angelico, of Shrewsbury, and Joseph A. Angelico and his wife Judy, of Auburn; a daughter, Karolyn Choate, of North Grafton; three grandsons: Ryan Angelico, Jack Choate, and Nicklaus Choate; and a sister Linda Sweet, of Holden. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Jane Petrone, of Shrewsbury.  He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Draleaus.

The son of Vincent J. and Dorothy (Bjorkman) Angelico, Sr., Jim was born in Worcester on May 28, 1942. He graduated in 1960 from Shrewsbury High School. While in high school and after graduation, Jim worked at Ace Auto Body in Worcester until 1964, when he joined the United States Coast Guard and served aboard the CG Cutter Humboldt. He returned to Ace Auto Body after leaving the service. He eventually became the owner and operator of the company until he became a Grafton Police officer, retiring in 2011. He was the president of the MA Auto Rebuilders Association for many years.

Jim was a long-time member of Saint Anne’s Church, in Shrewsbury, the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the American Legion Post #201. He enjoyed playing golf and watching his children and grandsons play baseball. He loved snowmobiling; he was a professional racer.

To honor Vincent’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
