Michael went on to receive bachelor’s degrees from Worcester Jr. College and St. Louis University, as well as earning a master’s in management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

While living in Missouri he met his future wife Susan (Schrader) Abladian whom he married in 1966. The couple eventually settled back in his home state of Massachusetts, where they raised their two children. Michael had a great love for the city of Worcester and spent much time visiting and enjoying its landmarks, parks, and museums with his children and grandchildren.

Michael spent most of his career working for Raytheon, starting in 1969, before retiring in 2003 after 35 years, having achieved the title of principal engineer.  He was very proud of the work he did on the systems and projects during his tenure.  Upon his retirement he took up several hobbies including cooking, learning new languages, and gardening, he took great pride in maintaining his yard and vegetable garden.  He and Susan were avid travelers and enjoyed exploring the globe.  Michael was a longtime volunteer serving on the board of directors for First night Worcester and was a longstanding member of the Morning Star AF&AM masonic lodge. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his children and grandchildren whom he cherished.
