Tarpon Springs, FL – Daniel Zida Bauks, 80, of Tarpon Springs, FL passed away November 26, 2022 at Mease Nursing Home in Dunedin, FL.
Dan was born in Holden MA, the only child of the late Zida Charles Bauks and Regina (Fahey) Bauks. He spent his formative years in Shrewsbury MA where he could often be found sailing on Lake Quinsigamond. He was married to Linda Palladino-Bauks with whom he would have celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2023.
Daniel is a graduate of Northeastern University where he earned a bachelors and masters degree in mechanical engineering. He also earned an MBA in marketing from the University of New Hampshire. For most of his career he worked as an independent industrial automation professional in the mechanical engineering and sales fields. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for over 25 years and served as a past chair of the IEEE/CPMT Boston Chapter.
Dan was a longtime resident of Westford and Beverly, MA. He enjoyed summering in Beverly where he loved sailing out of Beverly Harbor and Marblehead, MA. He more recently resided in Littleton, CO, where he looked forward to time spent with his grandson and in Tarpon Springs, FL. Dan was an avid reader of newspapers and periodicals, enjoyed traveling, and his yearly visits to Aruba.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and his wife, Christopher and Natalieann Palladino of Littleton, CO, and his grandson Jase Palladino also of Littleton, CO.
A burial service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Westford, MA, Saturday, June 17, 2023 10:00 A.M. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
