Jacqueline DeveauxMarlborough – It is with deepest sadness our family announces the passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Deveaux, 87, of Marlborough MA. Jackie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9th, surrounded by her loving family.

Jackie was born on February 22, 1937 in Newton, MA. She met the love her of life, Bob, during their high school years in the town they grew up. Jackie and Bob were married on March 11, 1956 and soon moved to Texas, where Bob was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. After completing their stay, they moved back to Waltham where they had their first child, Cheryl. Soon after Cheryl was born, they moved to Marlborough where they would complete their family, giving birth to their son Bill. They would spend the remainder of their married life together in that original home on Sunshine Drive. That home was a staple in the Deveaux family, spending many holidays, birthdays and family gatherings with their children, beloved grandchildren and extended family. “Grams and Grampy” as they were lovingly called by their grandchildren were the light of their lives.

In addition to spending time with her family, Jacking loved spending time with her friends. She got so much joy going to birthday luncheons, line-dancing and playing cards with her special friends. Her philosophy was that it was very important to have good friends in your life, and she certainly lived by that! Jackie was also a talented artist. Early in her married life she was a talented seamstress making many of her outfits, as well as her daughters’. She was also an accomplished quilter and rug hooker who had a deep connection and understand of working with color in her crafts. Jackie was a longtime member of the Northborough Community Chorus which fed her love of music. When you walked into the family home, there was always music playing or she was practicing her piano.

Her work life was varied, but in the end, her favorite time in the workplace were the administrative roles she held at Digital Equipment Corporation where she made many friends, as she did wherever she went. Jackie was the daughter of Alexander and Emma (Arsenault) Breton, both of Newton, MA. Her husband, Bob, predeceased her in 2021, after almost 65 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Beaudoin and her husband Tom. Her grandchildren, Bryan Beaudoin and wife Amy, Kyle Beaudoin and wife Jennifer, Alex Deveaux and wife Shana, Nathan Deveaux, Dana Deveaux, Devin Deveaux and Kyra Beaudoin and partner Samuel Diarbakerly. She was lucky enough to have four great-grandchildren whom she cherished, Hunter, Bridgette, Winnie and Paige Beaudoin.

Jackie and Bob unfortunately lost their son Bill in an industrial accident 6 years ago, which caused them both very heavy hearts. Jackie can now be at peace with Bob and Bill which is a comfort to all of her family.
