Mary T. CochranHudson – Mary T. Cochran, 89, of Hudson, MA, passed on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Marlborough, MA.

Born in Marlborough, MA on January 24, 1934, Mary was the daughter of the late Merton and Catherine (Abaire) Cochran.

Mary leaves behind her six nieces and nephews and their spouses: David Cochran and his wife, Lorraine of Addison, NY; Diane Fournier and her husband, Don of Virginia Beach, VA; Cathy Oram and her husband, Mark of Marlborough, MA; Stephen Cochran and his fiance, Debbie Joyce of Hudson, MA; Kevin Cochran and his wife, Suzanne of Charlton, MA; and Michael Cochran and his wife, Michele of Athol, MA. She also leaves behind a foster sister, Pat Ferrara of Lyman, ME, and many Godchildren; with a special “like a son,” Jack Hamilton of Texas. Mary is predeceased by her loving brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Sally Cochran, and her beloved dog, Molly.

Mary had numerous great nieces and nephews whom she adored with two being “like grandchildren,” Dana and Dacy Soroka. Her Vermont family were amazing, especially her dear cousin, Dale West. Her best friends of many years, Bernie, Carol, Roy, and Ellen were all very saddened by her death. Mary was also predeceased by her loving brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Sally Cochran, and her beloved dog, Molly.

May graduated from St. Michael’s Academy in 1952. Mary worked for many years in bookkeeping at Thomas Taylor’s in Hudson, MA.  She also enjoyed her job in collections for many years at Republic Plumbing in Norwood, MA. She loved visiting family in Vermont and attending the family reunions where she always upped the bids at the family auctions. She enjoyed her sports, especially her Red Sox, watching the Little League World Series, and the Kentucky Derby. Game night with Betsy was very enjoyable, especially playing cribbage.

Mary loved attending and rooting-on all of her nieces and nephews at their sports events, and relished in all their accomplishments. Maine was always a favorite destination where she would enjoy rum punches and a lobster roll.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Memorial Mass at 9:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2023 at St. Michael’s Parish, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson, MA for inurnment services.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s memory to a favorite charity of hers, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (http://www.stjude.org).
