Investigation continues into apparent Marlborough homicide

MARLBOROUGH – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Marlborough Chief of Police David Giorgi have confirmed the ongoing investigation into the death of an adult female that occurred in the parking lot of a Lakeside Avenue hotel.

On Thursday, June 1, at approximately 12:38 p.m., Marlborough Police arrived on scene at the Holiday Inn for the reported death, and a suspect was placed into custody.

The state’s medical examiner’s office arrived on scene around 4 p.m., and left shortly after 5 p.m.

The back of the hotel, where the incident apparently took place, was taped off.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Marlborough Police.

As of 6 p.m. Thursday, no further details have been released by the DA’s office.
