Shrewsbury – Ann Marie (Russell) Girouard of Shrewsbury, formerly of Reading and Arlington, passed away May 29, 2023 at the Durgin Pines Nursing Facility in Kittery, Maine. She was 78 years of age. Ann was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 3, 1944 the daughter of the late James P. and Mary R. (O’Brien) Russell.
Ann graduated from Arlington High School in 1962 and worked for Verizon for 31 years in Arlington and Boston as a customer service rep and later as a project manager. She raised her family in Reading where she also taught aerobic dancing, and spent her later years in Shrewsbury.
Ann was the beloved wife of Dennis Yeaw and the late Donald Girouard. She was the devoted mother of Michael J. Girouard and his wife Gina of Reading, Tricia A. Harmon and her husband Brian of York, ME, and Peter D. Girouard and his wife Larissa of Lunenburg. Step mother of Kim Borys and her husband Jay of Shrewsbury and Greg Yeaw and his wife Michelle of NH. Cherished sister of James Russell of Burlington, Barbara Angelou of Cotuit and Patricia Sullivan of Cambridge and loving grandmother of Allie, Emma, Maggie, Clara, Ian, Molly, Jake, Colby, Tyler, Hailey, Samantha and Owen.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday June 5 from 4-7pm.at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading. Ann’s funeral will be from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 6 at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
