John D. ArsenaultHudson – John D. Arsenault, 85, of Hudson MA died June 2, 2023. John is together again with his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Ellen (Murphy) Arsenault, who predeceased him in 2022.

Born on January 7, 1938, in Marlborough, MA, John was John was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (Baker) Arsenault.

John is survived by his children, Joseph Arsenault and his wife Arlana of Shirley, MA, Christopher Arsenault Sr., of Hudson, MA, daughter Nancy (Arsenault) King and her husband Dana of Marlborough, MA, and is predeceased by his sons John Arsenault and Thomas Arsenault; his four grandchildren Christopher Jr., Katherine, Ryan King, and the late Thomas. He also leaves many Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews, who all adored him.

John was the youngest of thirteen children. He was born and raised in Marlborough, MA. He graduated from Marlborough High School in 1955, then continued on to trade school before working at Murphy Oil Company. He, along with his late wife Mary Ellen, were the co-owners of Murphy Oil Company, and First Steps Children’s Center, with locations in Hudson, MA, and Southborough, MA.

John could always be heard whistling to whatever was on the radio. He would always lend a helping hand whenever needed.

He loved playing tennis, watching sports, going to the movies, and, of course, eating at his favorite breakfast hideout, Chet’s.

His family will cherish fond childhood memories of trips to Hampton Beach, summers in Maine, neighborhood pool parties, and winter breaks in Punta Gorda.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours for John on Thursday June 15, 2023, from 9:00am-10:30am at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA, 01749. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated after calling hours at 11:00am on Thursday June 15, 2023, at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA, 01749; followed by a procession to Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson, MA, for Committal Services.
