Carl G. Livermore Jr.Northborough – Carl G. Livermore, Jr., loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his family, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the age of 87. He was the high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 63 years to Barbara E. (Brooks) Livermore until her own passing in 2019.

Born and raised in Worcester, Carl was the son to Carl G. and Mildred E. (Heath) Livermore, Sr. He was a graduate of Worcester South High School and attended Worcester Jr. College. Following their marriage in 1956 Carl and Barbara moved to Northborough where they raised their 3 children and remained until their passing.

Carl was employed at Heald Machine Co. of Worcester prior to starting his career as a Design Draftsman at Raytheon Technologies, where he was employed for 35 years until his retirement in 1993. Carl proudly served eight years with the U.S. Navy Reserves. Carl enjoyed golfing, fishing, fly tying, coin collecting, his travels to Europe with Barbara, and spending lots of family time at the coast of Maine. He was a Master Mason with the Morning Star Lodge of Worcester, and a member of the Northborough Senior Center where he enjoyed his many lunches. He also enjoyed his involvement with Northborough Youth Hockey where he was a coach and original board member of the Northstar Rink in Westborough. Above all else, Carl was a family man who looked forward to assisting with home projects and attending his grandchildren’s many activities.

Surviving Carl are his three children, Susan E. Reynolds of Boylston, Sandra L. Herman and her husband William of Wolfeboro, NH and Robert G. Livermore and his wife Ruth of Kennebunk, Maine; six grandchildren, Jessica Martelli and her husband Richard, Taylor Herman and his wife Mika, Kendall Herman and her fiancé Alex Colucci, Kelsey, Krystal and Kyle Livermore, and two great-grandchildren, Evan and Olivia Martelli, as well as his sweet companion kitty Tammy. Carl was preceded in death by his son-in-law Raymond Reynolds, and his lifelong friend Robert Herron.
