Marlborough – Mary E. (Dubee) Steeves 85 of Marlborough died peacefully at Marlborough Hospital on Monday, June 5, 2023 after a long illness.
Mary was born in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late George and R. Helen (Voutour) Dubee.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Robert “Bob” A. Steeves in 2021 and her son, Sheldon Steeves in 2019.
She worked at Raytheon for many years as a secretary.
Mary is survived by her daughter Melanie Steeves and her fiancé, Mark Audette of Marlborough, 5 grandchildren, Jarod, Justin, Josh, Ryan and Katie, nieces MaryJane, Elizabeth and Candy, goddaughter Tara-Leigh and daughter in law, Christine Steeves.
Mary and Bob enjoyed traveling back home and to many different places. Mary was an Avon representative for over 50 years and really enjoyed the interaction with all of her customers. When not spending time with her family and friends she loved playing cards and going to the casino. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Marlborough, MA.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 4-6 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St. Marlborough, MA.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, at 11:30 am also in the Funeral Home, Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St, Marlborough.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to First Church Marlborough Congregational, 37 High St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
