David grew up in Worcester on Grafton Hill but spent most of his summers with his Grandparents in Shrewsbury and eventually settled in that town for the next 65 years. David served in the U.S. Military and was a proud Army veteran. He was known for his incredible work ethic which began at Orlando’s supermarket and then he devoted his entire career to the U.S. Postal Service. At the age of 55, he retired as Postmaster from the West Boylston Post Office. David then began his second career as Golf Master. Over the “course” of the next 30 years, he made many friends on the links and played in tournaments all over New England but called Holden Hills his home. He proudly displayed his best score (76) which was played at Green Hill.

When David wasn’t golfing, he loved working in his yard and took great pride in his amazing garden. If you knew David, chances are you have enjoyed his tomatoes and admired the perfectly straight lines in his lawn. He was a “regular” at Dean Park Pizza and enjoyed sharing lunch with friends from every aspect of his life. He was a member of the “Friends of Shrewsbury”.

He was a blessing to so many and his generosity knew no boundaries. He would always help a friend in need and donated to several charities. He has left a permanent imprint on many hearts, and he will be missed immensely. Rest in peace David, Dad, Papa, until we meet again, know that you were truly loved.
