NORTHBOROUGH – The Select Board will be interviewing the three finalists for town administrator on July 6

The three finalists are Courtney Friedland, David Genereux and David Williams.

According to a memo to the board from the Town Administrator Screening Committee, the committee received 27 applications for town administrator. The committee interviewed eight candidates before moving Friedland, Genereux and Williams forward.

Friedland is currently the assistant town administrator in Webster, which she has held since 2010. Before joining Webster, she served as the executive secretary for the town of Southbridge. Prior to that, she was a branch manager at Bank of America. 

Genereux has been the town administrator for Leicester since 2017. Prior, he served in the town of Uxbridge as its town manager and finance director. Before working in Uxbridge, Genereux was the treasurer/collector in Billerica and Sturbridge. 

Most recently, Williams worked as the chief financial officer for the Brockton Housing Authority. In terms of his municipal career, Williams was the Sherborn town administrator from 2013 until 2022. Prior to that, he worked as the assistant town manager in Framingham and Weston. He has also worked as the finance director in Bath, Maine, and town administrator in West Bath. 

According to the agenda, the Select Board may vote to appoint an administrator during the meeting. 

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. and will be held in the selectmen’s meeting room.
