Marlborough – Thomas M. Pantages, 83 of Marlborough, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in his home. Thomas was born in Lynn, son of the late Peter and Bessie Pantages.
Tom Studied at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA, and in death, bequeathed a substantial amount to the school.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. He drove his 1964 Ford Mustang from Malborough to Ft. Sill in Oklahoma, stopping to see the family of his late uncle Theodore Zecy in Kansas City en route.
Thomas earned his master’s degree and worked as a photographer for many years.
Tom was an avid fly fisherman in his younger years, and “tied his own fly” lures, once spending time to show his Kansas City cousins the craft and on a short fishing trip. His love of the outdoors was also evident in his donations to the New England Outdoor Writer’s Association for scholarships, as well as the Natural Resources Council of Maine in Augusta, Maine.
Thomas is survived by his son Scott Pantages and his wife Monica, and his granddaughter Jennifer.
Calling hours for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Central Street. Marlborough, MA from 10:00 – 11:00, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m.. Interment with military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough.
