Grafton – Barbara Bryant, 88, passed away on September 20, 2023 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, MA following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She leaves her sister Betty Cahill of Uxbridge, her nieces Linda Morse and her fiancé Scott Wood of Spencer, Melissa Cormier and her husband Roger of Northbridge, her great-nephew Nicky Morse and his wife Aimee of Millville and her great-nieces Ashley Morse of Dennis, Haley Cormier of Northbridge and great-great niece Audree Noell Morse. She was predeceased by her niece Kimberly Cahill.
Barbara was born July 3, 1935, and her roots were in Grafton. She was a 2nd grade teacher in the town of Westboro before retiring in 1993. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling to such great places as Alaska, Europe, and her annual Christmas shopping trip to Kennebunkport, Maine, but her favorite destination was her house on the Cape, where she could be found reading a good book on the beach or taking a swim in the ocean.
She never had children of her own but treated her nieces and nephew as if they were her own. She was a kind and selfless woman who will be missed by many.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Lydia Taft House for their wonderful care of Barbara, not only in her last days but for the year that she lived there.
A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Grafton Monday September 25th at 11:00am. There are no calling hours.
